اشدود (قدیم شہر)
اشدود یا اسدود (انگریزی: Ashdod) (فلسطی زبان: 𐤀𐤔𐤃𐤃 *ʾašdūd; عبرانی: אַשְׁדּוֹד، نقحر: ʾašdōḏ; عربی: أسدود) or Azotus (کوئنے یونانی: Ἄζωτος) تل اشدود میں واقع ایک قدیم شامی میٹروپولیس تھا، جو ایک آثار قدیمہ کا مقام تھا جو سابق عثمانی دور کی باقیات کے ساتھ مل کر واقع ہے اور اب آباد فلسطینی گاؤں اسدود ہے، [1][2] یہ موجودہ اسرائیل میں جدید اشدود سے چند کلومیٹر جنوب میں واقع ہے۔
